Developed and published by Promised Land Technologies, Inc., of New Haven, Connecticut, Braincel is a PC software tool that generates neural nets. Braincel, combined with Microsoft Excel or Lotus 1-2-3, creates the first "intelligent spreadsheet". It makes possible a sophisticated new level of problem-solving and analysis that can give planners, business executives, engineers, scientists, and others a major competitive advantage. It can solve problems that were previously considered impossible to solve, offering an easy-to-use and more powerful alternative to statistics, expert systems, and programming languages. You can use Braincel for problems where the data is too complex, fuzzy or fast-changing for rules or statistics.

For example, Braincel can create forecasts of stock-market prices and sales, failure diagnoses, forecasting of inventory levels, demand forecasting of equipment or personnel, selection of effective direct-mail strategies, development of new chemical compounds and drugs, financial portfolio analysis, auditing analysis, analysis of scientific data, and many other pattern-recognition tasks - even generate tips for horse racing.
