A Down Home Christmas was a disk created by Legendary Design that was sold primary to individuals who upgraded their tax software (dataTax) each year. It was intended as a low-cost add-on (at only $10) to an order and was inspired by the software "Jingle Disk".

The second edition (1995) contained a Christmas game called "Santa's Christmas Catch" (inspired by the Atari 2600 game Kaboom!), a couple of pictures, an animation and a card maker. The pictures would actually have snow falling on them and it would accumulate.

The majority of the programming was put together by Adam White, most of the graphics created by Bob Beechy and the project as a whole was produced and directed by Syd Bolton.
