| One of the problems with educational software in the early days of home computing was the difficulty in making it accessible to individuals who couldn't use a keyboard. Today's mouse technology, while undoubtedly looking awkward to future observers, does provide a simpler method for young children to interact with the computer environment. Educational companies did many things to try to overcome this issue - CBS packaged a special keyboard with their software in the hopes that younger children would find it easier to use it than a normal keyboard. |
