Songwriter makes it fun and easy to compose songs. You don't even have to know a single note. Songwriter's on-screen graphics guide you every entertaining step of the way. You'll hear your own music on the computer or through your stereo system. And you'll use Songwriter again and again.

Written, tested and approved by leading musicians and educators, Songwriter challenges and stirs your creativity while helping you or your child go from Chopsticks to Chopin ...

The image on the back of the packaging bears a striking resemblance to modern midi piano-roll style displays. This software was created after the establishment of the midi standard but does not take advantage of it in anyway. It relied on the computer to produce all the tones.
