This is the Atari 8-Bit version of the Konami arcade game "Track and Field." The game is playable with a joystick or a custom controller that, depending on the package, could be bundled with the game. The controller consists of three buttons. One button acts as the "action button" (jump, etc.) and the other two act as if the player were pushing the joystick either left or right. The buttons allow the player to simulate the various rhythms of an athlete (i.e. right leg / left leg while running). The events in this game are excellent and have stood the test of time well.
